Chicagoist's Chuck Sudo Works Through 'White Trash Cooking'

whitetrashcooking.JPGFor those of you who pooh-pooh the trend of cooking every recipe in a fancy cookbook and chronicling it on a blog, have we got an antidote for you!

Chicagoist's intrepid food editor, Chuck Sudo, has embarked on a mission to cook his way through the anti-Alinea, Ernest Matthew Mickler's White Trash Cooking.

While it might sound like the sort of joke cookbook you get for your weirdo uncle, the book is completely serious: its recipes range from potato chip sandwiches to collard greens, and Chuck's going to give us a hefty dose of all of it. To get things rolling, he kicked things off with the New Year's-auspicious Hoppin' John.
