The New York Times politics blog reports that the Obamas have brought chef Sam Kass with them to the White House to work with current White House chef Criseta Comerford.
Kass worked privately for the Obamas in Chicago, and prior to that has worked at Avec (which the NYT describes as "a highly regarded Chicago wine bar serving Mediterranean food").
He's also dedicated to sustainable and organic agriculture, as evidenced by his menus and philosophy at his private chef service, Inevitable Table. He grew up in Chicago, went to the University of Chicago, and, as evidenced by this picture, is a total hottie.
