YMDT: Free Soup, To Warm Your Tummy And Your Heart
Erstwhile Reader scribe (and kick-butt blogger) Martha Bayne has put together an ideal wintry event: Every Wednesday from today (!) through April 1st, swing by The Hideout (1354 W. Wabansia, 773 227 4433) for Soup and Bread.
As the name implies, this event involves soup. And bread. Here's the kicker: the soup and bread will be cooked by various Chicago-food-world microcelebrities (certain bloggers appear to be dropping hints). Here's the other kicker: it's completely free. Here's the final kicker: Donations are welcome, with all of it going to The Greater Chicago Food Depository, where — if we may be so bold as to suggest — they probably need the five bucks a bit more than you do. After all, you just got free soup.
