A throwaway sentence from a blogger dining at The Publican describes the restaurant's assistant manager as "hot, and enthusiastic about food - and dating the chef de cuisine at Alinea, apparently."
As far as we know, the Publican only has one assistant manager — the justifiably hot and enthusiastic Katie Syracopoulos — and as far as we know, since Jeff Pikus's departure, the chef de cuisine at Alinea is the completely adorable Dave Beran ... well, that means that Katie Syracopoulos is probably dating Dave Beran.
And they probably had a waaay more delicious Valentine's Day dinner than you did.
