Restaurant Management Hits Social Media

Our sister blog over in South Florida has the scoop on Servinity, a new social networking-based client that restaurant owners and managers can use to corrall their waitstaff — “the software-as-a service company leverages the Internet, e-mail, cell phone, SMS text messaging and social networks to help restaurants and bars schedule staffing — notifying employees when to be at work, or alerting them when a shift opens up.”

The site also includes a job board and a “dynamic resume search” (whatever that is) and other social networking elements. Sounds kind of like FohBoh, but with that truly genius email/text/IM blast component. Neato torpedo, eh? Jargony, big-brother-y, super-efficient. Just the way we like things.
