Tonight's Soup and Bread — the Wednesday night event at The Hideout where soup is free but donations to the Chicago Food Depository are strongly encouraged — is not one to miss.
Not only did organizer Martha Bayne land a serious haul bread from Whole Foods' day-laters, but this week's Soup Chefs run very much to the Friends-of-MP flavor. Along with Hideout employee Pierce Doerr, 32nd Ward Alderman Scott Waguespack, and house inspector (no, really) Josh Westlund, soup will also be made by Chicagoist's Chuck "Chuckles" Sudo, and bread will be made by former Fruit Slinger Dan Shumski.
Hell of a crowd to get drunk and eat soup with.
