Kendal Duque Goes Out With a Prix Fixe Bang

By now we’ve all had plenty of time to process the sad fact that chef Kendal Duque is leaving Sepia. Now comes word that for his last meal at his old stomping grounds, he’s offering up a special $35 menu, with family-style starters like baby octopus and garbanzo bean salad, and roasted foie gras and spring vegetables with truffle and chicken jus. Entrees include choices like slow roasted veal breast with mint noodles, cipollini onions and truffle butter and a very springlike walleye pike with artichokes, peas, wild mushrooms and cashew vinaigrette.

Duque is leaving Sepia to pursue a mysterious personal project, and there’s no official word on when that’ll bow. So if you want him to cook for you, move fast: the dinner is this Sunday, March 29th, with seatings from 5-9pm. For reservations, call (312) 441-1920.
