Stephanie Izard’s Vidcast Fills Us With Joy

Top Cheffer Stephanie Izard continues her reign over all forms of media, now launching a vidcast,* The Tasty Life, that sees her traipsing around the Chicago area checking out food and beer. We kind of love it — the opening animation of a doll-like Stephanie wiping beer foam from her mouth, the catchy nu-electro-bop Casio theme song, the vaguely catatonic voiceover.

In the first episode, she visited Indiana’s Three Floyds Brewing Co., and now in the second one she recounts her participation in the Organic School Project’s SMACKdown.

Boob jokes! A glimpse inside her just-as-cruddy-as-ours apartment! Drool-inducing braised ham! A domo-kun notebook! Princess Bride quotes! We’ve loved Stephanie since day one, and these vidcasts just make us love her more.

Rumor has it that for episode three, Stephanie will be visiting Korean BBQ Mecca San Soo Gap San, once immortalized by Chicago Gluttons as “the best restaurant in the entire world.” Cannot. Freaking. Wait.

*We realize she calls it a “podcast” but our personal new-media taxonomy limits that word to refer to audio-only, and we are cranky today.
