As all good geeks know, tomorrow — March 14 — is Pi Day. To mark the occasion, Bleeding Heart Bakery is bringing back their pie menu. For $18, you can bring home your choice of a cranberry or apple treat — but act fast. As the bakery told us, "it's the only day of the year we serve 'em!"
Also opening tomorrow (to much media fanfare) is the storefront version of Paula Haney's Hoosier Mama Pie Company. They'll be serving pie every day, of course, with flavors ranging from the exotic (passionfruit meringue) to the comforting (chocolate cream with bananas). Whole pies are in the $20 range, and single slices will be available as well.
If you're really going for your nerd wings, you'll take your first bite of pie — whatever kind — not just on 3/14, but at 1:59:26. We'll leave the counting of the nanoseconds up to you.
