You Must Do This: Grant Achatz Demonstration at Now We're Cookin'
There aren't too many ways you can get Grant Achatz to personally cook for you for just $65. You could go to his house for a BBQ in which you chip in for the groceries, you could eat just 1/4 of your meal at Alinea and refuse to pay for unconsumed portions.
Or, less sketchy on all fronts, you could head up to Evanston on April 1, when Now We’re Cookin’ presents Chef Grant Achatz Returns to Evanston, an evening of culinary demonstration by the molecular maestro.
Now We're Cookin's Culinary Director, Mary McMahon, worked at the now-closed Trio in Evanston back when Achatz was burning up the kitchen, and she admits that their history helped land this amazing get. But throw in a glass of wine and some hors d'ouevres prepared by the NWC staff, and the chance to get your Alinea cookbook autographed by the man himself (copies will be on hand to purchase for $50), and it doesn't really matter how he got there — it'll be an extraordinary evening.
