The old ham station-and-caesar salad Easter brunch rigmarole can get kind of old after a few decades, but you've still got to do something with your family after (or instead of) church. How about have a little fun? We've rounded up the best Easter Sunday options at a variety of places you might not have thought to check out:
• Some gutterballs with your chocolate eggs? 10pin bowling lounge is merging the two — $39 gets you an unlimited Easter buffet, bowling, and as many bunny hugs as your kids can wrangle.
• When regular peeps just won't cut it, C-House steps up to the plate: they're ramping up their already awesome Bossa Nova Brunch with some Easter specials, including their own version of little marshmallow chickies made in-house.
• Get silly on rum and put on your hula skirt with a Tiki-flavored easter at Trader Vic's. $37.95 (or $20 for kids) gets you retro music, a woven-grass ceiling, a buffet of epic proportions, and a complimentary mai tai.
• When nothing says Easter like roasted meat served on a sword, you know it's time to take the fam to Texas de Brazil, who will be supplementing their usual smorgasboard with brunch classics. (No word whether rabbit is on the menu.)
• If you're jealous that the kids get all the good stuff, spend your Easter at ZED451, where the usual family-friendly activities will be supplemented by an "Adult Easter egg hunt" — but don't get any dirty ideas, they're just talking gift cards and free drinks. We think.
• Whether you're bi-religious or just curious, bypass the Easter brunch altogether and head to either Feast for a Passover brunch — sweet and savory matzo brei and other non-chametz options. (Bunny, for the record, is kosher for Passover.)
