Paul Kahan in People: Delicious, Yes. But Not Beautiful
The rumors are flying that Paul Kahan (executive chef of Blackbird and subject of this morning's Meet Your Beard Nominees interview) is included in People magazine's 100 Beautiful People issue, hitting newsstands today.
While Kahan is no slouch in the hottie mchotterson department, we're sad to report that he is not one of the 100 anointed beautiful ones. Rather, he — along with the four other Beard nominees for Outstanding Chef — contributed recipes to the issue that feed a party of four for $10.
We do take some consolation in the fact that Kahan's meal, for grilled chicken thighs with a spring vegetable salad, is the most delicious-sounding of the bunch. Also contributing their budget-savvy recipes to the magazine are New York's Tom Colicchio and Dan Barber, DC's Jose Andres, and L.A.'s Suzanne Goin.
