The Cheeseburger Show Has Landed

Friends, our lives now have meaning. Kevin Pang’s The Cheeseburger Show has dropped its first episode. (Curiously, it’s identified as being in “beta,” which we thought was a state of being reserved for stuff like software, not for homegrown tv shows and hot-cheese-and-meat sandwiches.)

To open the premiere, Pang puts on a fake accent and accosts strangers on the street to ask their recommendation for a tasty cheeseburger. McDonald’s, Boston Blackie’s, Billy Goat — is that it? Pang an his team check out how the burgers get done at places a bit less tourist-jammed: Top Notch Beefburger and Forest Park’s Goldyburgers.

There’s commentary along the way from various of the faces we ID’d from the teaser trailer, who clue us in to how they like their burgers: Hot Doug’s Doug Sohn (he likes the foie gras cheeseburgers he makes himself at home), Moto’s Homaru Cantu (he “does not care for mustard and ketchup” ), and Q101 DJ Electra (“bacon“).
