Are you pretty sure you’re supposed to be famous? The Food Network has just announced that they’ll be coming to town on Sunday, July 12 to hold a casting for the sixth season of The Next Food Network Star. If you think you’ve got the chops to host your own cooking show, bring an application, photograph, and resume and/or bio to the auditions at the Affinia Chicago Hotel at 166 E. Superior. Open to both talented home cooks and professional chefs (paging Justin Hall — this just might be your moment), auditions run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., but since it’s an open call we’d advise showing up earlier rather than later.
