Astute Everyblocker Daniel X. O’Neill noticed that Sprout LLC has applied for a liquor license at 1447 W. Fullerton, in the space previously occupied by Gino’s Pizza. The space — set back from the street, and anchored by a charismatic walled-in front patio — has played host to a series of Italian-inspired eateries (before Gino’s, it was Via Due Wine Bar), and is right next door to Via Carducci. But maybe that’s about to change — “Sprout” is an intriguingly un-Italian name. Vegan? Raw? Organic? Locavore? That front patio would make an awfully nice garden. [Derivative Works]
