• Julia Kramer finds Terzo Piano to be a slick, serene, beautifully designed temple to inconsistent food: highlights (burrata and garlic scapes on flatbread; a deft semifreddo) are more than overshadowed by the kitchen’s mostly clumsily executed dishes. [TOC]

• It’s a riot of conflicting flavors, textures, and poetic pretension at Eivissa, where Heather Shouse successfully wades through the confusing cocktail list, but can hardly find a single tapa worth complimenting. [TOC]

• Michele Ye Hee Lee has nothing but good things to say about Wally & Agador’s Sandwich Shop, so why does her Cheap Eats review read so backhandedly? Subtle flavors and French-inflected cooking are handled expertly, though whether Lee approves of this expertise is unclear. [Tribune]
