Things are afoot at Boka. Hot on the heels of the news that pastry chef Elizabeth Dahl is planning to leave in a few months comes news going in the other direction: the restaurant has signed on Benjamin Schiller to be their new “head mixologist.” Schiller, a longtime liquor geek who previously was the head of the beverage program at In Fine Spirits, sticks to the prevailing bartending trend of small-batch, homemade ingredients, and plans to eventually overhaul Boka’s cocktail list to suit his angle.
