Everything You Thought You Knew About Pasha Is Wrong

More details emerge on Pasha, the Judeo-Spanish restaurant coming to the West Loop — we spoke to Ron Levine, manager of the local world-fusion music group The Bandoleros and, now, president of Bandoleros, Inc., the newly formed corporate body (comprised of the band) that owns the restaurant. New facts! One: it’s not so much “from” semi-sketchy Grocery Bistro restaurateur Marcel Somfelean — the restaurant is wholly owned by Bandoleros, Inc. Somfelean is an employee of Bandoleros, and is in charge of the menu and all food operations. Two: Levine clarified that the concept, while Spanish, is not tapas — it’ll be high-end, full-sized dishes. The restaurant is scheduled for a late October open, and they’re already taking reservations: call (312) 243-4442
