Perfect Ground Beef and Imperfect French Fries at Edzo’s Burger Shop

The love for Evanston’s Edzo’s Burger Shop seems to be unending — it’s been called the closest thing to In-n-Out Burger in town, among other accolades. All the credit is due to owner Eddie Lakin, a former fine-dining chef at Nacional 27 and TRU who committed himself to the pursuit of the ideal burger-and-fries meal.
