While VTK is still closing at the end of December, a rep for the restaurant clarified in the comments that the closure is not, as we had speculated, “a result of the economy.” Instead, it’s “the result of a lease that could not be negotiated with the owners of the building. The price point of the food was too low for the restaurant to be profitable on an inflated lease.” Which, um, sounds pretty economy-driven to us. But what do we know.
