Ceres’ Table is Now Open in Uptown

Originally slated for a November open, Ceres’ Table (4882 N. Clark St., 773 878 4882), the new place from Giuseppe Scurato (Boka, Landmark, Topaz Cafe) has, as of this past Tuesday, opened its doors for a soft open, with the official opening coming up on the 15th. Scurato’s pan-Italian angle runs from southern, seafood-heavy preparations like baby octopus with preserved lemon and puttanesca, or mackerel with cauliflower, onions, capers, and currants, but also swings up north with hearty dishes like lamb shank, tripe with saffron and spinach, and strozzapreti pasta with a boar ragu.
