More Mado Cassoulet

When Mado announced (quietly, via Facebook and Twitter) that their special three-course, two-person cassoulet dinner was available this week, it sold out completely, and chef Rob Levitt got the message loud and clear. The cassoulet — built around pork shoulder confit and an in-house pork-and-duck sausage — will be back for a second round next week, from February 2 through 7. The $60 prix fixe feeds two, and starts with pork liver paté crostini and finishes with a flaky apple pastis gascon. 773 342 2340 or madorestaurant@att.net for reservations.
