We noticed that South Loop fast food spot Howie’s was up for sale last April, and it looks like someone bit: a business going by the name of “Flo and Santo LLC” has applied for a liquor license at the space at 1310 S. Wabash, for both catering and on-premise consumption, reports Sloopin. A commenter expands, noting that one of the owners of Zapatista Cantina is involved (presumably the “Santo” half), and the “Flo” half comes from his partner, a Polish woman who is presumably bringing the pierogie for a tentative menu of “pizza, Polish food, and beer.” [Sloopin]
