At Least Some of the Boston Blackie’s Money Goes to Charity

Among the uses to which embattled Boston Blackie’s owner Nick Giannis put the $1.8 million he, his son, and his restaurant manager hauled in as part of their check-kiting scheme was about $120,000 in donations to U.S. Senate hopeful Alexi Giannoulias. Giannoulias has pledged to divert those funds to “a number of local nonprofit organizations.” [HuffPo]
