Cumin isn’t rumored to open until next week, but this “modern” Nepalese and Indian restaurant posted a teaser menu on their window to give everyone a sneak peek. As advertised it’s an assortment of Indian favorites (samosas and lamb curry) along with something called Gorkhali Khasi, which we kind of assume is Nepalese. At the very least it is cooked “village style.” We’re not exactly sure what that means, but it sounds oddly delicious. The partial menu is below.
Cumin
Samosa - Crisp cones filled with spice-seasoned vegetables or meat
Momo - Nepalese dumplings filled with minced meat and Neapalese herbs and spices
Tandoori Chicken, Lamb, or Shrimp - Marinated and cooked in Tandoor
Chicken Tikka Masala - Marinated boneless chicken cooked in tandoor, simmered in sauce
Lamb Curry - Diced lamb, marinated in Indian spices in a thick curry sauce
Gorkhali Khasi - Goat cooked village style, Nepalese herbs and spices
Naan - Oversized dough leavened, cooked in Tandoor
