Closings

Closing Chaos as Jerry’s Sandwiches and The Shady Lady Shut Down

There have been two very surprising closing today. The Stew broke the news that Jerry’s Sandwiches on Madison in the West Loop will close and reopen as a Mac Mins, a New Orleans style eatery with po’ boys and muffuletta sandwiches. Jerry’s was an epic sandwich location, which had one of our favorite sandwiches in the whole city. Luckily, the other Jerry’s in Wicker Park will remain as it is. Then Time Out found out that the Shady Lady, which just opened in River North two months ago, will close on July 15. The “burlesque, speakeasy, and freak show circus” always seemed a little too odd for its own good, but the owners told Time Out that they may open it elsewhere in the city.
