The 2010/11 Zagat Chicago Survey was released today, and in surprising news Les Nomades took the number one position for best food in the city away from Alinea. You may remember that Grant Achatz’s fine dining temple was just voted as the best restaurant in all of North America. Phil Vettel must feel vindicated. If that wasn’t enough, Frontera Grill replaced Alinea as the most popular restaurant in town. This is less surprising considering that most popular spot on these city guides is usually filled by a more moderately affordable place (like Gramercy Tavern in New York). Frontera Grill makes a little more sense here. But still, what a tough day. In non shocking news, NoMi placed first for decor, with L2O coming in second. [The Stew/Trib]
