Stephanie Prida Is the New Executive Pastry Chef for Balsan and Ria

Stephanie Prida has been skipping around restaurants for the past couple years, working at one sixtyblue, Soul, and most recently at Blackbird. But she has just been named the Executive Pastry Chef at the Elysian Hotel, which includes Ria and Balsan. This looks like a meeting of chef and restaurant on the way up. Prida most recently won a rising chef award from the 2010 Jean Banchet awards, for her work at Blackbird, while Ria was just crowned the best new restaurant in the city by Chicago Magazine.
