Leo’s Coney Island Expanding to the Loop

Here’s some more good news for those that lunch in the Loop. Leo’s Coney Island, the Detroit-based chain which opened its first Chicago restaurant back in February, is planning on opening a second location right downtown. For those not familiar with the Michigan specialty, the Coney is a hot dog covered with chili, mustard, and onion. It is probably the only hot dog we can think of that is more unwieldy and messy than the fully-loaded Chicago-style hot dog. Suits beware. Make sure to take extra napkins. Development is still in the “early stages,” so no word yet on the official location or time of opening. [Trib]
