A look inside the Taste of Melrose Park.

We’ve been talking a lot recently about Chicago Gourmet, but it certainly wasn’t the only food festival in the past month. A few weeks ago Mike Gebert from Sky Full of Bacon attended the Taste of Melrose Park. The nearby suburb has traditionally been an Italian-American neighborhood, though that has been changing in the past few years. Still, it seems like old families are still returning for the festival. As Gebert explains, “Every dish here has a story about the family who makes it, and we talk to ten of those families about their recipe and why it’s important to them to share it with others.” Take a look at the full video over at his blog.
