Though just about everyone seems to be impressed with the menu that Dale Levitski has put together at Sprout, there have been some grumblings about the outdoor patio. Phil Vettel from the Tribune even nominated it as one of the worst outdoor spaces in the city, claiming that “muffler-challenged vehicles” and the singing homeless (“Oh, I’m standing out here … out on the street … watching you eat …”) kind of ruined the ambiance. So it’s kind of good news that the restaurant decided to get rid of the patio and expand to create more indoor seating. The restaurant posted some pictures of what it will eventually look like, though they say it will be a “long road” until it is finished. [Facebook]
