Though Charlie’s Ale House just closed earlier this month, the transformation of the space into Acre has been quick and complete. The Andersonville restaurant already feels like it has been around for years. The menu features a mix of cured meat, seasonal vegetables, and lots of beer. Though that initially seems awfully close to what nearby Hopleaf is doing, Acre ultimately feels more Midwestern, and we mean that as a compliment.
