Scott Harris is expanding his Little Italy empire. Though he just opened Davanti Enoteca and announced the new Gennaro’s, he’s already planned his next concept. He’s taking the old Gennaro’s space and converting it into The Ballroom. Don’t worry. It won’t be super high end or expensive. In fact, it’ll be all about meatballs.
Talking to Chicago Magazine he claimed that there would be “five to seven different kinds available, including "—pork, veal, vegetable, chicken, turkey, maybe a fish meatball.” He’ll offer these meatballs “smashed,” in sliders, and also just on a plate topped with up to five different sauces. The restaurant plans to open this spring.
