Is he coming back?
We just got off the phone with Jean-Luc Naret, the director of the Michelin guide, and he confirmed what Eater had first suggested: Laurent Gras, who left L2O unexpectedly a couple weeks ago, will be flying from New York back to Chicago to attend the Michelin party. “He will be there tomorrow at the event,” Naret told us. “He was very honored to receive the award. Now the question is whether he will return to the restaurant or not.” Good question.
