Meatyballs Takes on McDonald’s

While Evanston may have a real food truck rolling around without an issue, Chicago’s trucks are still dealing with a bizarre labyrinth of rules and regulations. Just yesterday Phillip Foss’s Meatyballs Mobile was ticketed for parking within 200 feet of a McDonald’s. Talking to the AV Club, Foss said that while he didn’t have a ruler with him at them time, he didn’t seem to be that close. “It looks like I’m going to have to go to court,” he said. Obviously, any time Foss is in court, and not out on street slinging his Meatyballs, it’s a crime, but we can’t really see why McDonald’s would protest. It’s not like they have enough buns for the McRib as it is. [@FossFoodTrucks via AV Club]
