If there was one word to describe how busy Grahamwich — Graham Elliot’s new sandwich and soda shop — was this weekend, it seems to be very. Things got so crazed on Friday the shop was, in Elliot’s own words, “rocking the phones Schwa style…” Which essentially means that no one was answering the phone. Ok, what else? Phil Vettel called it, “another hit for the man in the pork-pie hat,” radio host, Peter Sagal, called it “amazing,” and that chalkboard got a (profane) workout. The only sad news is that the jibarito, which we featured in our slideshow of the opening, “might go the way of the dodo,” according to Elliot, as it is “hard to execute quickly.”
