Hubbard Inn opened last night in River North. It gets its name from its location on Hubbard Street, which is turning into quite the restaurant row. We had a look at the menu last night, and while it features a few sandwiches and some salads, the bulk of it is made up of a collection small plates. Seared scallops, braised short ribs, and fried sweet breads all make an appearance, along with, of course, oysters. But equally important is the design, which claims to pull inspiration from the travels of Ernest Hemingway. We had a look around last night to see how it all came together.
