Rahm might be for mobile food.

He’s back on the ballot and way ahead in the polls, so when Rahm Emanuel says, “I actually lean towards allowing” food trucks, that’s kind of big news. Chicago currently doesn’t not allow trucks to cook on board, which severely limits the kinds of dishes they can serve. This is potentially good news, especially considering how far we are behind New York and Los Angeles with our mobile food scene. Still, it doesn’t sound like he wants to allow them to just freely roam all over town. According to the Sun Times, he wants to use them to “combat food deserts.” [Sun Times]
