Yesterday’s Oprah Winfrey show was all about goooooING VEEEG-AANN. Part of the show: Oprah forced “challenged” members of her staff to go vegan for a whole week. The weird thing: Oprah just kept hammering home the point that all those vegetables were making her staff go to the bathroom a lot more than usual. “The bathrooms have never been busier,” she said. Later, when surveying the end results of the animal-free week, she made a point of mentioning the “record amount” of toilet paper they used at Harpo. Okay, O, we get it: Veggies make people poop. But she wouldn’t let it go! At one point, in front of her audience (and Michael Pollan), she asked her director, Joe Terry, who has decided he’s sticking with this whole vegan thing, point-blank: “How have your bowel movements been, Joe?” The answer, in the clip below.
