Speaking of successful suburban chefs moving into the city, Kingfisher Seafood Restaurant & Bar plans to open tonight in Andersonville. This isn’t some random new restaurant that is hoping to jump on a trend. Chef Peter McCarthy proved his way with fish at Pier 5736 in Jefferson Park, which pulled in some good reviews before it closed. The menu features loads of shellfish, including oysters, scallops, and lobsters. But there is also some fresh fish, and a few meat options. Currently it is BYOB, so we suggest you try it out soon.
