At first it was French restaurants, and then came diners, but now it looks like the latest trend in Chicago dining might be Middle Eastern restaurants with live entertainment. Last week, we heard that work was picking back up for Masada, and that it might be ready to open in Logan Square over the summer. Today it looks like Uptown is set to get Cairo Restaurant & Lounge. It’ll be located in the former home of the Wild Pug, which had to close back in November after it failed to find any new investors for the project. The Uptown Update did a little digging at the Uptown Businss Partners’ member directory, and found that Cairo Restaurant & Lounge will hopefully feature, “international food, live entertainment, special events, open late night, and high quality fresh food at reasonable prices.” [Uptown Update]
