Takashi Hosting Epic Charity Event

Due to the tragic events in Japan, numerous restaurants around the country have been hosting charity events to help raise money. While all are admirable, we doubt you’ve even seen a charity event quite like this. On Monday, April 18 Takashi will host a six-course meal which will feature a collection of some of the best chefs in Chicago, including Bill Kim, Tony Mantuano, Paul Kahan, Jimmy Bannos, Jr., Mindy Segal, and Paul Virant, among many others. Of course, if you’ve ever been in Takashi, you know that it’s not exactly the biggest restaurant in town. Instead of stuffing all those chefs into the kitchen, some might actually be servers during the night. All the proceeds will go to the Red Cross. The menu has not yet been finalized, but you should definitely look at the full list of the chefs below, along with details on how you can get a reservation.

The event costs $200 a person for the first and last seating, and $250 for the second. That also includes wine pairings, tax, and tip. You can reserve your spot by calling 773-772-6170.
