Good things come in threes, right? Well, Chicago Magazine broke the news on no less than three different Mexican-inspired restaurants that are set to open soon.

• The biggest opening is probably Fogon in Noble Square. It’s the latest project for the owners behind Amelia’s Mestizo Grill, which garnered loads of a acclaim, but never really caught on as a hot spot due to its location in Canaryville. It’s set to open tomorrow, and while we haven’t been able to track down an official menu, Chicago Mag claims it will serve “upscale Mexican food.” [Chicago Mag, First Item]

Fogan, 1235 W. Grand Ave., Chicago, IL 60642; 312-421-2000

• Next is Masa Azul, which is planning to open up in Logan Square around June. It'll actually be serving a variation of Southwestern cuisine, which partner, Jason Lerner, calls "America’s first fusion cuisine." Expect tamales, mesquite grilled duck breasts, and coffee- and pepper-encrusted beef medallions. [Chicago Mag, Third Item]

Masa Azul, 2901 W. Diversey Ave., Chicago, IL 60647

• Speaking of fusion cuisine, the city's latest Korean taco joint will be called La Tacorea. It is hoping to perfect what Del Seoul introduced us to over the fall. Hopefully, it will open in Lakeview by the early summer. [Chicago Mag, Second Item]

La Tacorea, 847 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago, IL 60657
