Waiting in Line

How Long Would You Wait for a Doughnut?

The lines are no joke.

We’ve been as surprised as you about the runaway success of the Doughnut Vault. Who knew that a tiny little shop selling fried dough would be the second most sought after meal in Chicago? So how bad is the line? The Tribune’s Christopher Borrelli spent four days and many hours attempting to get into the shop. Finally, yesterday morning at 9:05 a.m. he picked up six doughnuts for $17. He then remarked, “never again.” We’ve been fans of Borrelli for a while now, but this is, perhaps, the greatest document about waiting in line for doughnuts that we have ever read. Interestingly, the article only makes us want a doughnut more. [Trib]
