Pasticceria Natalina Closing Early, May Go Underground

Closing early...
Closing early…

The story of Pasticceria Natalina just got a little weirder. Last December the acclaimed pastry shop in Andersonville announced that it would close in September of 2011. Initially that seemed like an odd announcement to make, as it is kind of unusual to proclaim that you’ll be closing nine months ahead of time. Then again, owner Natalie Zarzour is notorious for playing by her own rules. Yesterday she tweeted that the shop would actually close on May 22, and that it would be “be offering final creamy mouth orgasms by reservation only.” As delicious as that may sound, she has other important news.

She’s apparently working on a cookbook called, what else, the Pasticceria Natalina cookbook. Also, at the very end of the page is a vague message she might not be giving up the pastry game: “We’re not going away - we’re just going underground!” We’re not exactly sure what that means, but if you want updates and what she’s going to do, you should send a blank e-mail to natalina@p-natalina.com. We can’t wait to see what happens next.
