Bucktown: To celebrate its brand new beer issue, Chicago Magazine is teaming up with the Pipeworks Brewing Companywhich just signed the lease for a brewery — for a special tasting at The Map Room tonight between 6 and 8 p.m. [Grub Street]

Update: Actually, according to Gapers Block, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms has intervened, and the bar can’t give out Pipeworks beer. The event is still on, and free beer will still be available.

River North: Along with 26 new vendors, Dose Market’s second go at the River East Art Center on July 10 will offer a Do Dose 2011 membership card, which allows entrance for the next six months for only $30. Also, the market will now sponsor a charity booth each month. [Grub Street]

Ukrainian Village: X-marx, the pop up dinner club, is putting down the butcher’s knife “for a minute,” to celebrate the bounty of fresh vegetables coming from the Green City Market. The vegetarian dinner costs $65 per person, and takes place on Wednesday, June 29 at 7 p.m. The location isn’t definite at the moment, but should be around California and Chicago Ave. Click here for tickets.
