Patrick Fahy might have left Blackbird for the Sofitel Hotel, but the established Paul Kahan restaurant didn't waste any time picking out a replacement. Bryce Caron, who has spent the past two years at the Custom House Tavern, will return to Blackbird as the new executive pastry chef. Caron actually worked as the pastry sous chef for the restaurant back in 2007, and the press release was adamant that he and executive chef David Posey had kept in touch thanks to whiskey and black metal. Caron is expected to completely revamp the dessert menu very soon.
