Back in January, Scott Harris announced that he planned to close Francesca’s Forno in Wicker Park to create something more like his other successful projects, The Purple Pig and Davanti Enoteca. Two months ago, he settled on calling it Panza, and announced that it would be a “bruschetteria and wine bar.” With the opening planned this Tuesday, July 19th, we’ve just learned that it is changing back to Francesca’s Forno. But what does this mean for the food?

We’re still waiting to see the full menu, but we were assured that besides the name, “everything else has changed.” We also know that the wine list will be more affordable, and that it will place more importance on “eco-friendly, sustainable, bio-dynamic or organic bottles.”

Though slightly confused as to why they’d change the name again, we didn’t exactly love Panza. Hey, at least now they don’t have change the signs!
