It has been quite a while since we first heard about Roka Akor Sushi & Steak and Bombay Spice Grill & Wine, two Sunbelt concepts that planned to open in the same building in River North. Though the they don’t really have much else in common — one is “contemporary Japanese” and the other is “healthy Indian” — the two are finally both set to open tonight.

This just continues the global domination of Roka Akor, which, along with the original Scottsdale, Arizona location, already has outlets in Hong Kong and London. It also has some surprisingly good press behind it, as it was mentioned by Bon Appetit as one of the “Top 10 Sushi Spots” in the nation. Its menu obviously features a huge collection of sushi, but the second page is totally dedicated to items from the robata grill. Currently, it will only be open for dinner, but will add lunch hours later in the summer.

Bombay Spice Grill & Wine is the more affordable of the two, with nothing on the menu costing more than $18. The restaurant is really going for the healthy Indian route, and is cooking all of the dishes in olive oil instead of ghee or butter. It will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.

Check out the opening menus for both below.
