Yesterday we were totally surprised by the opening of Tony Hu’s Lao Hunan, especially since we’ve had our eyes on Chinatown for the past few weeks. Why? Well, we’ve been looking forward to the opening of Ba Le’s second outlet, which will be located next to Phoenix Restaurant on Archer Ave. The restaurant originally planned to open in August, but then revised that to “early to mid September.” But we’ve just received word from the owners that the tentative opening date is next Saturday, September 17. Bánh mì fans should start getting excited now. [Grub Street]
